1 used Zenith 7G605 Trans Oceanic radio, sail boat version, tested.

Description

Here is one used Zenith 7G605 Trans Oceanic radio that looks to be in good condition, it already has had some restoration done on it and looks to have some new capacitors in it and has had a new A/C cord put on it, I had to clean the controls and switches on it and tighten the dial string, it receives broadcast band AM real good, I was able to get some shortwave on it, the chassis, speaker and the wave magnet is in very good condition, antenna rod has all sections good but has some corrosion on the first segment, the handle is worn but I would not use it, the case is one of the better I have seen, it has the sail boat grill cloth but could be replaced with a bomber or plain black version but would not recommend it this is the only sail boat one I have ever seen. I think a strap is missing to hold the wave magnet on the back cover. Knobs and push buttons are in good condition. The battery holder mounted in the case has corrosion on but looks usable, I have not tested the tubes on it because I do not have any of this type, but the radio may need some alignment and some more restoration done on it, the serial number on the chassis is T849674.
