You are bidding on a style of 1920’s style Monkey with Doll Car Mascot/ Hood Ornament. This mascot is modeled after the mascot of a Monkey holding a baby doll by Bourcart. Amusing and a great subject, this is a rare and important mascot. The expression on the monkey's face and general composition of the body stance is absolutely first class. With marked “Depose” and signed “Bourcart”. Photographed and described in Michel Legrand book 'Mascottes Passion' Plate 399. It measures approx. 100mm high. It is made of bronze with silver-plating. It is in excellent condition.
