Description
This beautiful 1932 General Electric was professionally restored in 2013. It’s still presents beautifully with only a couple marks on the cabinet. When turned on I was able to pick up 4 strong stations and a few weaker ones in my area. The following is the information from the 2013 restoration.
This is an eight-tube early superheterodyne that has a whopping 10" speaker and it can really blast out the AM band! As I have done in the past with these behemoth beauties, it's a full frame-off restoration where I take it down to the bare chassis, replace all the resistors and caps, re-stuffing brand new caps into the original cans, with new wiring on most of it and carefully reassembling and giving it a good alignment. The walnut cabinet is pristine and has original wood knobs. New grille cloth and authentic cloth AC cord and repro Bakelite plug. It is a big one, 19-1/2"H x 14"W x 11"D, and about 37 lbs packed.
