    Description

    1970 FISHER SILVERSMITHS STERLING FOOTED & WEIGHTED SALT and PEPPER SHAKERS.
    Beautiful 5" salt & pepper shakers acquired by us as a wedding present in 1970.  Amber glass lining, weighted base, gorgeous paneled urn-style shape.  'STERLING' and 'WEIGHTED' with additional markings on underside indicating Fisher Silversmiths, Jersey City, NJ.  Also a stamped number '426', probably the manufacturer's code.
    We have provided many photos so you can see the wonderful vintage condition of each piece.  The larger holes at the top of the salt shaker show one tarnish mark, while the body of this one has a little tarnish on the shoulder and where the body meets the base.  The pepper shaker has no tarnigh on the top, a little as the shoulder and some at the container bottom near the base.
    Amber glass lining on both are pristine; there are no dents, marks or damage to the entire body of each shaker. There is a soft fabric envelope/case for each that notes the Hardy and Hayes logo in the city of Pittsburgh.
