Description
Presented is an antique, English sterling silver salt, powdered sugar or pepper shaker or small caster made in London in 1810. This early 19th century, Georgian piece is done in an interesting egg form and is raised on a square pedestal base. The top is pierced with design an the inside of the shaker has a gold wash. This piece has never been monogrammed.The base and lid are marked with the crowned leopard's head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a duty mark of the king's head, a date letter P for the year 1810 and a maker's mark.
This piece is in excellent condition for its age. There is minor surface wear commensurate with age and use but no damages and no repairs.
