Antique 1931 Philco Model 20 Deluxe Cathedral Radio - Restored

Introduced in January 1931, the "revised" Baby Grand catherdral radio, known as the "Deluxe".
First off, this radio boasts the original grill cloth and original knobs. Also notice that ALL the tubes are of the original "globe" design.
As with all my radios, the chassis has been completely gone through. The tuner was removed, cleaned, and re-lubricated. All capacitors (except a few Mica) have been replaced, as well as all out-of-tolerance resistors, and all bad wiring. The tubes were checked, and any weak ones were replaced. The radio was then re-aligned to factory specifications, and receives stations all across the dial.
This radio has no AVC (automatic volume control), so the volume fluctuates
depending upon signal strength. The volume control is tied in to the antenna, so the signal strengh also affects the operation of the volume control.
The cabinet is walnut with fluted pillars and a georgeous curly maple arch.
The cabinet was stripped down to the original patina, re-stained, and various shades of Mohawk toner were applied. It was then given 10 coats of nitro-cellulose lacquer, and finally, after 2 weeks of curing, it was hand-rubbed with natural beeswax.

Everything will work, however, when I ship it, unless otherwise specified. But any future malfunctions or failures are beyond my control. As such, I can only guarantee that the radio worked before it was shipped. No other guarantee applies, and no refunds will be given.
The radio measures 18" tall, 16" wide, 10 1/2" deep, and weighs 15 lbs.
