Antique 1932-1933 Sparton Model 28 Triolian Radio - Restored

The Sparks Withington Co. service manual says:
"Sparton "Triolian" 13-tube model 28 3-speaker superheterodyne (interstation noise suppressor, parallel push-pull pentodes,duo-diode detector with twin 56's, line-noise filter, tone control, hum control, Lafoy delayed A.V.C., parallel 80's, R.F. and I.F band selectors."
Top of the line for Sparton, this low-boy is a beautiful example of pre WWII craftsmanship. It will be 90 years old next year, and is ready for the next 90 years.
The restoration of this radio was the most time-consuming project I have completed.
As with all my radios, the chassis has been completely gone through. The tuner was removed, cleaned, and re-lubricated. All capacitors (except a few Mica) have been replaced, as well as all out-of-tolerance resistors, and all bad wiring. The tubes were checked, and any weak ones were replaced. The radio was then re-aligned to factory specifications, and receives stations all across the dial.
The cabinet was stripped down to the original patina, re-stained, and various shades of Mohawk toner were applied. It was then given 10 coats of nitro-cellulose lacquer, and finally, after 2 weeks of curing, it was hand-rubbed with natural beeswax.
The radio measures 32" wide, 16" deep, 46" tall, and weighs a bunch (estimate 75-90 lbs.)
