Vintage, stamped HANSPHERRE 102-FD-5" spherical compass # 11892, nickel /or chrome plated brass, tag "JOHN E. HAND & SONS CO  NAUTICAL INSTRUMENTS  PHILADELPHIA  BALTIMORE".
Approximate measurements:  8lbs. 8oz.  Body 7 1/2" Diameter.  Base is 8 1/2"Diameter, at outer most point.  5 1/8"H, not including hood.  8 3/4"H with hood on.  Glass sphere is 5 1/2"Diameter x 2 1/2"H.  7 1/2" circumference.
Liquid is half filled, murky, and you cannot see much of the dial. Dial is not sitting level. Glass is in good condition.  Binnacle has insignificant small dents, dings, and scratches. Top has a ding on the rim, but does fit on good, with a little coaxing. Seller has not polished. 12 photos are a part of this description.
