  • Condition: This piece has issues on few parts as pieces of the painting have chipped off, the last time it was cleaned it was in 1980, as you can see on the pictures. There were major repairs done in 1960. The piece is dark and i suspected that the varnish applied in 1988 needs to be removed. The frame is not in good condition and missing painting on its side. Please zoom at the pictures for a complete understand of this lovely piece that will require restoration, more of the provenance below. We have many more pictures in case you need it.

    Description

    Up for your consideration an older painting that i purchased in San Francisco many years ago. It is a dark piece but the details are great. This piece was restored and cleaned twice in Kansas City at the Fine Art Gallery Sarachek's. The Frame measures 25 1/4 x 21 1/4 and not in good condition. The painting in itself measures approximately 20 x 14. There is no signature that i see, the piece looks like an old piece of leather and i am not sure what it is, perhaps a board, and the paint seems to be oil based on the tags of the restoration on the back. Very ornate painting and fine lines. Please zoom at the pictures as this is an older piece, the pictures will show better its condition and life better than words.
