32 page album, containing 3 hand calligraphy pages and 29 glossy, matted 8x10 photographs with captions, documents as quoted on first page:
"The Service of Commemoration in honor of 28,000 American dead in war-time comradeship with the people of Britain and of DEDICATION of THE ROLL OF HONOR presented in the presence of Her Majesty the Queen, to St. Paul's Cathedral for the American Memorial Chapel by General of the Army Dwight D. Eisenhower, July 4, 1951"
Following the first page is the 23 August 1946 "Roll of Honor" dedication in calligraphy with 5-star DDE emblem and another calligraphy page with excerpt from the address delivered by Dr. Fischer, Archbishop of Canterbury, 4 July 1951, both matted by gold foil.
The other 29 pages, capture the parade of joint American and British forces, commanding generals, admirals, marshalls, lords, dignitaries, and heads of state including Queen Elizabeth (The Queen Mother) and Princess Elizabeth (II) approaching and entering St. Paul's Cathedral, the service inside, and the figures exiting afterwards on the cathedral steps.
Overall condition is VG/Fine; the silver ink embossed, leather hardcover is in very good condition with some soiling, fading, and heavy wear to the edges and corners, a small indentation on the back cover; screw-bound spine is tight and in great shape; interior pages of heavy stock have some light wear, soiling, but overall fine condition as well as the matted, calligraphy documents and photos.
