    Description

    For sale is a very fine vintage Chinese painting of two ladies on textured paper.  The mounting board is 11 inches wide by 14 inches tall; the picture itself is 6 7/8 inches by 8 3/8 inches.  The picture is painted on paper with a woven fabric looking textured surface.  It depicts two women in elegant robes, one older woman with a plantain leaf and a younger woman with a branch of red coral.  The detail is very fine.  There are no signatures or other marks.
    Condition on the picture is good.  The paint appears to have an old smudge on the face of the young woman.  The picture is adhered to the back board in the center, and there are some thin spots on the back paper where it appears to have been removed from another backing at some point.  The mat is in decent shape, and it is ready to frame.  A fine older Chinese painting.
