    The Mort was built by the Meteor Motor Car Company and later, the Mort Motor Car Company.  The Mort was a funeral car, and so was appropriately named. The Mort was manufactured in
    Piqua, Ohio from 1917 until 1924.  Emblems with “Meteor Motor Car Company” are rare.
