Philco 41-221

Description

This is a handsome little desktop radio ready for restoration.  It will need a fair amount of work to get it perfect cosmetically, especially since the post office crushed a small bit of the upper left front corner some time ago.  I filled the dent and tried matching the wood, but it will take someone with far greater skill to make it look more convincing.  It's missing one other small chip of veneer on the front right.  The bezel is intact, but a little concave just to the left of the dial; the dial is discolored and perhaps oxidized, and it's missing the dial cover.
I tried bringing this up on a variac but got no sound or tube glow, but the chassis looks clean and complete, and all the tube sockets are filled.  I didn't check to be certain the right tubes are in it, but I have no reason to think they wouldn't.  Given the overall condition, this is an as-is sale.
