    Description

    7/16 75/5 Vintage Pierce Arrow Motor Car Co. emblem. Shield-shaped 2.5"Hx1.75"W. Gold edge, White enamel shield (slight chip in enamel right top corner and below word “Arrow”) with gold bird holding olive branch at the top, Coat of Arms with knight’s head, three birds and a red band across the centre with the words “PIERCE ARROW” thereon. Banner in blue at the bottom with words :”DIXIT ET FECIT” (He said and he made.). Back has two screw and bolt attachments.  No emblemmakers mark visible. Pierce Arrow, originally founded in 1865 as Heinz, Pierce & Munschauer made luxury cars from 1901-1938. The châssis were so strongly built and the so large that some were converted for firetrucks.
