"bird an flower" style is practically inimitable: the viewer's impression of seeing the work

last ink mark
was applied by the artist. This enhances the already bold presence of his subjects.
If these works are imitations, their brushwork and 'presence effect' come very close to those encountered in known paintings by Bada Shanren - in my humble opinion, closer than many works attributed to him in major auction venues in the last few years.
