Vintage CHINESE Painting on Silk-THE SUITOR-Warrior on Horseback-Signed / Framed

Description

For sale is a vintage Chinese painting on silk, entitled “The Suitor”.  The framed picture is about 22 ½ inches wide by 16 1/2 inches tall; the visible portion of the painting is about 16 inches by 13 inches.  The picture is painted on tan fabric, almost certainly silk.  It depicts an armored warrior with bow and arrows on a galloping white horse in a somewhat modernist style.  It is hand signed in the lower left with a red seal mark. It is inscribed “Chinese Original” and “The Suitor” on the mat.  The picture has a white mat and black painted bamboo-form wood frame with front glass.  It has a simple cardboard back and hanging wire.
Condition on the picture is good.  The picture seems to be in fine shape, with just some puckering of the material.  Some back paper has been removed, and the frame is slightly loose, with minor paint losses.  An attractive vintage Chinese painting.
