Vintage Streamline Airflow 1947 Wards Airline 84BR-1508 AM Tube Radio Works Ivry

Description

This is a really rare with super streamlined design - Circa 1947 Wards Airline 84BR-1508 AM Tube Radio in Ivory color.
Radio needs a cord replacement (original one is badly frayed),
but I was still able to test it, and it pulls in stations with no problem and has a nice sound with not much hum!
Tuner moves the needle no problem, and there's no issue with the on/off volume knob.
I pressed each of the 4 "pre set stations, and the tuning needle moved, so I suspect those work well too.
The radio has some loss/wear to the ivory finish in places, revealing the underlying black plastic color.  Lots of ivory remains, however.  There don't appear to be any cracks or other issues with the case, so that's good news too.
Also, the case could use a good cleaning however, and the back cardboard cover is missing a screw and the existing screw is a replacement.
Radio measures approx. 12" wide by about 7.25" tall, by about 6.5" deep.  It weighs about 6 lbs.
Cleaned up this radio will really pop!!!
