WFL Virginia & Washington Ambassadors team Custom Gumball Football Helmets

You are bidding on two custom made helmets reflecting helmet designs for the Virginia Ambassadors and the Washington Ambassadors of the World Football League.  Virginia and Washington were just some of the names for this team that searched for a home prior to the 1974 WFL season.  Originally called the Washington Capitals then renamed the Ambassadors, they couldn't play in the Redskins stadium so plans were made to play in Norfolk.  Their name was change to the Virginia Ambassadors.  Funding issues brought them to Florida and the team eventually became the Florida Blazers and played in the only WFL championship game.  These helmet designs were created with each move but were never worn on the field.
All custom made helmets are refurbished helmets from Gumball Machines or Sets sold since the 1960's. Logos and stripes are applied to closely reflect past helmet designs.  All my helmets are made of plastic with removable face guards.  They measure approximately 2"x2"x2".
Helmets are shipped in a sturdy box via USPS first class mail with a tracking number.  If you win multiple auctions please wait for me to send an invoice so I can combine shipping.
